Arslan emphasized that the highways will reduce the intercity public transportation load by taking the other lines that continue after the Eskişehir, Konya, Ankara and Istanbul lines, adding, “In addition to the inner-city railway lines such as Marmaray and Egeray, the new metro lines have been put into use, and the inner city has turned to explore the metropolitan areas. We want to put an end to the transportation ordeal. “KEÇİÖREN-BATIKENT METRO CONNECTION OK”
Reminding that the completion of the metro lines in Ankara was handed over to the General Directorate of Railways, Ports and Airports Construction under the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications in 2011, Minister Arslan said, “Taking the first step in the period of my General Directorate was under the leadership of our Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım. We hope that completing the Keçiören line will be given to us again. ”
Arslan stated that Kecioren is the biggest district of Ankara and therefore the traffic sufferings are experienced at every hour of the day and the biggest expectation of all the residents of Ankara is that the metro line will be in service as a result of the traffic density especially in the morning and evening hours on Fatih Bridge. said that.
Indicating that the necessary measures for the completion of the project and commissioning the line were reviewed, Arslan stated that the line started from the Gazino station in Keçiören and connected to Dutluk, Kuyubaşı, Mecidiye, Keçiören Municipality, Meteorology, Dışkapı, ASKİ, Atatürk Cultural Center and the subways available here.
Minister Arslan noted that the total length of the line is 9,2 kilometers, when it comes into service and operates at full capacity, 700-800 thousand passengers can travel from Keçiören to the center of Ankara and 50 thousand passengers per hour.
“SIGNALIZATION SYSTEMS ARE ESTABLISHED”
Stating that 100 percent of the construction works are completed on the Keçiören Metro Line, Arslan said:
“We are currently doing signal system and electro mechanical works that will ensure that the subways work in harmony with each other. We have completed 81 percent of the signaling system installations. I believe that by the end of this year, we will facilitate the lives of our citizens by putting this line into service, which is waiting for millions of Ankara residents.
