One of the major projects that will add value to Konya, the highly anticipated High Speed ​​Train Station was completed by the Ministry of Transportation. The construction of the High Speed ​​Railway Station, which is planned to be built in the old Wheat Market, is expected to begin in July.
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Commission on Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology, responsible for the transportation projects of Konya, Konya Transportation Projects under the chairmanship of Konya Deputy Ziya Altunyaldız. The last point of the Konya Transportation Projects was evaluated at the meeting where the new train station project was put on the table.
Ziya Altunyaldız, who stated that the tender for Konya YHT Gar, which will carry Konya to the position of the most important railway junction point of Central Anatolia, was carried out by the Ministry of Transportation. This will be the collection and distribution station of Ankara, Eskişehir High Speed ​​Train Lines as well as Konya-Karaman-Ulukışla-Yenice and Kayseri-Aksaray-Konya-Seydişehir-Antalya High Speed ​​Railway lines. The subway line will also connect here. In other words, it will be the heart of transportation of Konya and Central Anatolia in railway traffic, and it will be the threshold point of the city with technical words Yani.

Between 2003-2015, the total amount of transport investments made to Konya reached 4,7 billion TL. In addition, the total cost of the ongoing ring road, subway, logistics center and HRS terminal projects is 4,75 billion TL. With the tender of the new railway station, it will be the collection and distribution station of Ankara, Eskişehir High Speed ​​Train Lines as well as Konya-Karaman-Ulukışla-Yenice and Kayseri-Aksaray-Konya-Seydişehir-Antalya High Speed ​​Railway lines. The metro line can also be connected here and Konya will become the center of railway transportation. After the transactions related to the tender won by Altındağ-Intim partnership are completed, the contract will be signed. The project, which is expected to start construction in early July, is planned to be completed within 2018.
