In this context, Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MTSO) started its studies to issue a professional competence certificate for the foreign trade and logistics sector.
According to the statement made by MTSO, at the first stage, professional qualifications for the foreign trade and logistics sector are determined by taking the opinions of the sector representatives. an accredited examination of the current situation in foreign trade and logistics sector in Turkey and has no certification center. When completed in June 2017 MTSO studies, Accredited Testing and Certification Center with the first exam in foreign trade and logistics center in Turkey and will be certification.
Within the scope of the VOC Test Centers-II Grant Program, Human Resources Development Operational Program, within the framework of the 'MTSO Personnel Certification Center Establishment and Operation Project' presented by the MTSO Projects Directorate and approved by the EU, a workshop was held for the preparation of professional competencies for Foreign Trade Supervisors and Logistics Operations Managers. The expert consultants who came together with sector representatives within the scope of the workshop moderated the professional competence study to be prepared for logistics operations managers and foreign trade personnel. At the end of the week-long studies, 6 qualifications and one in the fields of Logistics Operations Manager (level 5), Foreign Trade Officer (level 5), Logistics Operations Officer (level 4), Foreign Trade Staff (Level 6), International Trade Specialist (Level 5) national occupational standard will be determined.
The qualification, which will be prepared jointly with the sector representatives, will be harmonized by the consultants in the upcoming period and will be prepared in the format requested by the Vocational Qualifications Authority (MYK) and submitted for VQA approval. After the studies, MTSO will receive TURKAK 17024 Personnel Certification Accreditation in the field of foreign trade and logistics. Likewise, accreditation will be completed by the Vocational Qualifications Authority in these topics. These services after the MTSO, Turkey to respond to all requests coming from the public.
