- new agreement for the airport: Boeing will provide Turkish authorities with airport and airspace modeling services.
IGA Airport is the developer and operator of Boeing New Istanbul Airport. (IGA) announced a new Technical Assistance Agreement.
Under this agreement, Jeppesen, a subsidiary of Boeing, will share its solutions for Total Airport and Airspace Modeler (TAAM) to assist IGA and the General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMI). This group will support the development of the new Istanbul Airport airspace design, airport optimization program and operational preparation plan.
Boeing Turkey General Manager Ayşem winding Isil, "Turkey as a part of all investments in the infrastructure of the airspace, working together with HDI and DHM in order to find the most effective operational concept we are looking forward to Istanbul. Using our TAAM tool, we will be able to demonstrate the impact of all our operational concepts and provide support to the New Istanbul Airport team for making the most informed decisions for the new airport. TA
Jeppesen TAAM analysis tools with state-of-the-art technology will be used in conjunction with IGA and DHMI teams to carry out operations that can potentially maximize the overall capacity and adequacy of airfield operations and airfield operations of Yeni Istanbul Airport. Another important element of the project is to ensure security within the Regional Control Area of the Regional Istanbul Terminal and to minimize the conflicts that may arise from the intensity of the airspace.
A number of operational procedure alternatives will be simulated and analyzed by TAAM to assist the new airport's airspace and runway optimization process. Following the successful delivery of Jeppesen's analysis, IGA and DHMI will be trained to use the TAAM solution by actively participating in the project, as well as the ability to carry out their own ongoing analysis projects.
