First train from India to Russia will pass through Azerbaijan

The first train to travel from India to Russia will pass through Azerbaijan: The first freight train to reach Russia through India will begin in late August.

The President of the Azerbaijan Railways Association Cavid Gurbanov said in a statement that the trend that will start from India Mumbai will be transported to the port of Iran Bender Abbas by ferry, then it will be transferred to the city of Azerbaijan Astara by train to Reş city of Iran and then it will be transferred to the city of Moscow, Russia.

Transportation will take place within the scope of the "North-South" transportation corridor signed between Russia, Iran and India in 2000.
