Samsun Metropolitan Mayor Yusuf Ziya Yılmaz, who made a statement about the review accompanied by RAYDER President Taha Aydın, drew attention to the importance of domestic production. Mayor Yılmaz said that 13 trams consisting of 5 modules, each costing 8 million Euros, were constructed with a light and modern new concept design.
Noting that the wagons will be received in October, Mayor Yılmaz said, “The construction contract for our wagons was made in October last year. This year, we will take our 8 trams in October. I would like to thank everyone who contributed in this regard. ”
Samsun Metropolitan Municipality added a further 17 kilometers or even 14 kilometers, adding a total of 31 kilometers on the rail system. Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, which bought the existing trams from Italy and China, went on to tender for additional rail system lines in 2015 and the Bursa company won the tender.
