Silkroad project to be discussed in Astana

The Silk Road project will be discussed in Astana: The Eurasian Economic Union states will hold a summit meeting within the scope of the "Silk Road Economic Belt" in Astana.

Kazakhstan Prime Minister Karim Masimov said in the opening speech of the Silk Road countries representatives meeting held within the framework of the Astana Economic Forum, that a summit meeting of the presidents of the Eurasian Economic Union (AAEB) will be held in Astana, Kazakhstan, next week.

The Prime Minister said that the final meeting of the development of the union will be discussed at the summit meeting of the AAEB heads of state.

Masimov, "One Belt-One Road" (Silk Road Economic Belt) plan will be one of the biggest projects of the 21st century. "This project will unite almost three quarters of the world's population, provide cross-border trade, many investments and new collaborations, which will diversify the economies of the countries participating in the project."

AAEB is the international economic institution created by Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia and has been in operation since the beginning of 2015.
