The length of the tram line in Izmit has reached 1.350 meters: Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Tram Line Project implementation works are continuing rapidly. The work started on Yahya Kaptan Hanlı Street and continued on Salkım Söğüt Street and Sarı Mimoza Street. A total of one thousand 350 meter rails have been installed so far while the rail works have been completed and welding works have continued on these streets.
RAIL LAYS ON TWO STREETS
Şehit Rafet Karacan Street and Gazi Mustafa Kemal Boulevard are currently in progress. Martyr Rafet Karacan Street in order to increase the traffic load after the 20.00'den concrete production is carried out. Traffic flows through the street as a single lane. 50 meter rail production is carried out on a daily basis and rail welding works are continuing in the finished parts. It is aimed to complete the productions on Şehit Rafet Karacan Street until the middle of next week.
LINE EXCAVATION WILL START AT NECİP FAZIL STREET
With meticulous work, rail production between the station on Thursday and the station in the East Barracks will be largely finished. After the road construction works on Necip Fazıl Street, line excavation will be started in the coming days and the first stage of rail production will be started. Gazi Mustafa Kemal Boulevard after the end of the infrastructure work will continue to accelerate rail production. On the other hand, construction of two 5 transformer buildings, which will energize the tramway, has begun.
