TCDD is divided into two: State Railways of the Republic of Turkey, central and provincial organizations, will be halved within a short period of time.
The transport units of the General Directorate will operate under the name of cılık TCDD Transportation Genel. TCDD will be divided into two in the framework of the objective of liberalizing the railways and transport will be carried out by a separate company. For this purpose, a new company will be established with the name kur TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ ”. This company will be engaged in commercial transportation. TCDD will continue to undertake the construction of the infrastructure when the transportation part is separated. The main statutes and articles of association for the split of TCDD have been prepared and submitted to the High Planning Council (YPK) by the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications.
