Participating in the Yalova Provincial Coordination Board meeting, Public Private Partnership Regional Manager Murat Gönenli gave information about the latest situation in the Gulf Crossing Bridge and the highway project. Gönenli said, “We are following the Gulf Crossing Bridge and Gebze Orhangazi İzmir Highway project. Our project is 405 kilometers. The investment size is 4. 3 billion dollars. Our expropriation cost is 2.5 billion TL. The part of our project within the provincial borders of Yalova is 22 kilometers. This chapter is completely finished. We are waiting for instructions to open this part to traffic. Our investment cost in Yalova is 2.6 billion lira. We have the expropriation price of 536 million lira. In the next 2 months, with the completion of the gulf crossing, a further 12.6 km section will be opened to traffic. In addition, the 25-kilometer section between gemlik and Bursa will be completed by the end of this year. Studies on the Gulf Crossing Bridge are progressing in front of the public. We have completed our towers. We are doing the installation work of the deck. We completed the installation of a 2 thousand 400 meter section on the deck. "We will complete the remaining 300-meter section in this month, do welding, superstructure and isolation works, and open the Gulf Passage Bridge to traffic within 2 months," he said.
