A statement came from Kardemir on the oil-rail exchange with Iran, announced by Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Minister Binali Yıldırım.
Kardemir made a statement that “formalities are still continuing in the rail sales agreement negotiated with Iran and will reach 80 million Euros”.
Yıldırım said, “We are now building and selling rails to the outside. We signed a contract with Iran on a barter basis. Tüpraş will buy oil from Iran, in return, Karabük will provide a rail of 80 million Euros. This means that one year of Karabük's work is guaranteed. It is meaningful and important for both Karabük and our country '.
