CHP member Yiğit asked about transportation investments

CHP member Yiğit asked about their transportation investments: Ali Yiğit of the CHP gave a parliamentary question about the Çiğli-Aliağa-Çandarlı Highway, the light rail system and the Nemrut pier railway ring line in İzmir.

Deputy Ali Yiğit asked the ongoing projects, investments in the planning stage and the process related to them in the motion he gave with the request of the Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Binali Yıldırım to answer. In his motion submitted to the Presidency of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Yiğit asked the following questions:

“Which projects are still being carried out by your Ministry in İzmir? When will these projects be completed? What is the allocation for these in 2016 on a project basis? At what stage are the works on the Izmir Northern Ring Road's connections to Menemen, Eski Foça and Yeni Foça State Roads and the Aliağa-Çandarlı connections route aimed as the continuation of the highway? When will the road be completed and put into service? Is there any work on extending the Aliağa - Torbalı Light Rail System Project from Bergama to the Aliağa Organized Industrial Zone in the north and to Selçuk and Ephesus in the south? If so, at what stage? At what stage is the work on the Nemrut Pier railway ring line? What is the envisaged date for the opening of the line in question? Is a study planned to provide direct exit to Nemrut Ports area from Çiğli-Aliağa-Çandarlı Highway? Is there any work carried out by the General Directorate of Highways affiliated to your ministry on the highway exit that will provide direct access to Nemrut Ports Area and Petkim Port from the Northern Ring Road and the construction of the highway from this exit to the ports area? "
