The National Rail System Test Center is Launched in Eskişehir: Anadolu University Rector. Dr. Naci Gündoğan gave the good news that the National Rail Systems Research and Test Center (URAYSİM) project took place in the 10 Development Program published in the Official Gazette 2016 days ago.
In the Academic Clubs meeting room, Prof. met with the press members of the city. Dr. Gündoğan stated that there is no obstacle in front of URAYSİM anymore and said that the actual investment process is now underway. Gündoğan said, “URAYSİM is a very important project for our university, our city and our country. In our previous investment program, the project document of URAYSİM was 166 million 500 thousand liras. In the last investment program, our budget was increased to 400 million Turkish Liras. In other words, 2019 million TL investment allowance that we will spend until 400 was allocated for this project. ”
“OUR HORIZON WAS WIDE BUT A SMALL LIMITATION WAS BROUGHT TO THE PROJECT”
Professor Dr. Gündoğan explained that there was a small limitation to the project and said, “We actually thought of the project as a whole and in general. Our work, fiction, horizons were wide but there was a small limitation on the project. This is a limitation, though. It was a center where we planned the tests of urban tram and rail system vehicles, conventional rail system vehicles operating on intercity line and high speed trains. Our Ministry of Development gave us a green light to test vehicles on conventional and urban lines at the outset. In other words, they stated that we can pass the high speed train test road in the second phase of the project. However, our project is ready for this and we are in a position to quickly carry out our work on high-speed train testing after the first phase is over. ”
THE FOUNDATION WILL BE TAKEN THE FOUNDATIONS IN THIS YEAR
Professor, who signaled that the foundations of the center could be laid this year. Dr. Gündoğan said, “All our tenders will be completed in 2016. We need to speak cautiously, but our foundation has been laid depending on the tender processes and the buildings will begin to rise. 21 testers will be purchased. Test devices are also subject to order, not devices that can be purchased immediately. The company that received the tender will order these test devices, and the arrival of the devices is a 2-3 year process. ”
"EVERYTHING IS JUST BEGINNING"
Rector Gündoğan said, "Everything is just beginning."
“We have reached this point as a result of great efforts, but the real difficulties begin after that. Because this project is not really a unique project. There is no such test center in our nearby geography. I think this center will make a very serious contribution to Eskişehir. With this project, it will be registered that Eskişehir is the center of the rail systems. This project not only for rail vehicles produced in Turkey, the Middle East, the Balkans, where testing can be done if the rail vehicle in Europe.
