Strukton Rail to Renew the Boden-Bastutrask Railway Line in the North of Sweden: A new agreement has been signed between the Swedish Transport Authority Trafikverket and Strukton Rail. According to the agreement, Strukton Rail will renew the two-way railway line between Boden and Bastutrask, which is 40 km in total in the northern part of Sweden. The agreement also includes an option to renew another 8 km line if deemed necessary.
According to the planned project, the renovation process will be composed of 3 main parts. The first episode, the renovation of Koler-Allsbyn, will start in April of 2016. Following this, it will be renewed between Storblaliden-Koler and Bastutrask-Traskholm. The renewal of the line used for the transportation of mineral materials is planned to be completed in October of 2017.
