1 dead, 2 injured in train accident in Afyon

Train accident in Afyon 1 dead, 2 injured: Sezgin Ünal lost his life in a light commercial vehicle in Afyonkarahisar where a freight train hit the level crossing and 31 people were injured.
The accident occurred at noon at the barrier-free level railway crossing near Balmahmut Village. Light commercial vehicle with 37 RC 43 plates, used by 438-year-old Engin K., stopped on the rails when approaching the passage. According to the claim, the freight train, which could not stop even though it braked the vehicle that did not move, was hit. The mechanic was able to stop after dragging the vehicle he drove in front of the freight train 45, which was 77378 years old under the direction of OE, about 150 meters.
After the accident, while the light commercial vehicle was scrapping, medical teams were directed to the scene upon notice. In the accident, driver Engin K. and Sezgin Ünal and an unknown person were injured. Sezgin Ünal, one of the injured who was taken to Afyon Kocatepe University Ahmet Necdet Sezer Research and Application Hospital and Afyonkarahisar State Hospital by ambulances, lost his life despite the intervention. It was stated that the health status of other injured people is serious.
While the mechanic was detained by the gendarmerie for OE testimony, the train line and level crossing remained closed for approximately 2 hours due to the inspection at the scene.
The severity of the collision and the light commercial vehicle were found near the rails.
