Kayseri Erciyes Ski Center hosted a meaningful festival. The XNUMXth Erciyes Disabled National Snow Festival was held this year. Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Çelik, who followed the festival and met with the disabled in Erciyes, said that this festival and the participants of this festival are a source of morale and motivation for the disabled.
Erciyes continues to host important events. The sixth Erciyes Disabled National Snow Festival was held with great participation. More than 200 disabled people from different provinces attended the festival. Speaking at the opening of the festival, Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Çelik said that they attach great importance to the festival, which they held for the sixth time and made it traditional. Expressing that they will continue this festival with larger participation, President Çelik said, “Our disabled people who come here from different parts of our country are also a source of morale and motivation for all our disabled brothers and sisters. Because our disabled people who see those doing sports gain self-confidence.” said. President Çelik also thanked those who contributed to the organization.
Governor Orhan Düzgün, who attended the festival, stated that it was a joy for the disabled citizens to participate in sports and cultural activities. Despite the last week of March, the skiing season is still open in Erciyes, the Governor Düzgün pointed out that the tourists coming to Erciyes will increase every year.
Mehmet Sümerli, who was an educator at the opening ceremony of the school for handicapped people in İstanbul, told Mustafa Çelik, Açılış I find your projects related to people with disabilities admirable. In his speech Aysun Toygar, who is also the Chairman of the Disabled Federation, stated that all the obstacles could be overcome with love and he thanked all those who contributed to the festival organized with love. Toygar also gave a plaque of appreciation to Mayor Mustafa Çelik and Governor Orhan Dügün.
Following the opening ceremony of the festival, disabled athletes competed in the North and Alpine discipline. In the competitions, ski suits specially designed for disabled people to meet with skiing and to ski safely were used. National athletes participated in the races. The festival also organized various activities for the disabled.
