X-Ray Period in İzmir Metro and İZBAN Stations

X-Ray Period in Izmir Metro and IZBAN Stations: Security measures are kept at the highest level in Izmir after the terrorist incidents. X-Ray devices are placed in the metro and İZBAN stations. In addition, civilian police continue to provide security at all piers and stations.
After the treacherous terrorist attacks in Ankara and Istanbul, super security measures are implemented in Izmir. At Adnan Menderes Airport, the double security control system was re-activated, while security was increased to the top in metro and İZBAN stations, ferry ports, bus terminals, shopping malls and courthouses. Meanwhile, another important decision was taken at the Provincial Security Council meeting to reinforce these security measures. Provincial Police Director Celal Uzunkaya announced that they agreed to put X-Ray devices on all the metro and İZBAN stations and ferry ports. Expressing that they also met with Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Aziz Kocaoğlu, Uzunkaya said that they received the promise from Kocaoğlu that X-Ray devices will be purchased in a very short time. Uzunkaya stated that the boarding of trains and ferries will be made through these devices.
Izmir police took security precautions at the ferry ports, metro and IZBAN stations, shopping malls, bus terminals, bazaars, marketplaces and stops, where there are many people. In this framework, civilian police officers were placed at all piers and stations. Meanwhile, many citizens were also taken action after complaints of "Not being able to search adequately with detectors on stations and ferry ports".
At the Provincial Security Board meeting attended by Governor Mustafa Toprak as well as Provincial Police Chief Celal Uzunkaya, it was decided to place XRay devices on all metro and IZBAN stations and ferry ports in the city, as in the airport. Expressing that they also met with President Aziz Kocaoğlu, Uzunkaya said that Kocaoğlu said that the necessary device purchases will be made immediately. Uzunkaya said, "If requested, training will be provided to the teams that will control these devices by expert police officers."
Uzunkaya said, “While our people avoid going out to the bazaars and streets for life safety, they also create space for terror and support the targets of terrorism without realizing it. We are on duty to provide the best security of life and property to our people 24 hours a day. As long as our citizens can help the security guards under all circumstances, let them share every suspicious thing they see and hear with us. ”
