Bus and Training Support from IETT to Africa: Istanbul Electric Tram and Tunnel Operations (IETT), which has completely renewed its fleet, continues to send its buses working in cooperation with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) to countries in need.
According to the statement made by IETT, the first team came to Istanbul from Liberia to receive training on the use and maintenance of buses. The team, which was trained by IETT for 2 weeks, was assigned to give the same training to the personnel in their country.
Practical and theoretical trainings were given by engineers and technical personnel to the technical delegation of 10 people from Liberia. Information was given on subjects such as repair and maintenance of buses, fleet management, electrical and mechanical system and troubleshooting.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality sent XNUMX buses to Chad and Liberia after the meeting of Kadir Topbaş, Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, with the Prime Minister of Chad Kalzeube Payimi Deubet.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that 30 buses will be sent to Ghana by adding new ones to the donated buses.
Bus grants IETT and TİKA will continue to be sent to needy countries in the coming days.
Areas to be donated to the bus include Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Novipazar.
