Esenboğa Airport subway will be extended

Esenboğa Airport metro will be extended: The Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications has decided to extend the 20-kilometer Esenboğa Airport Metro by 7 kilometers and take it to the Yıldırım Beyazıt University campus built in Çubuk.
Esenboğa Airport Metro, which Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu announced that it will be held before the November 1 elections and which is among Ankara's 2023 projects, continues at full speed. While the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications continued to work on maps, art structures, stations and studies related to Havaray, the final version of the project began to be clarified. The metro, which was 20 kilometers before and will go to Esenboğa Airport, has been extended by 7 kilometers. With the new arrangement, the last stop of Esenboğa Metro was determined as Yıldırım Beyazıt University in Çubuk.
TRANSFER FROM KUYUBAŞI
The Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications will integrate the newly built Esenboğa Airport Metro into the Keçiören Metro, which will be completed in 2016. Citizens getting on the Keçiören Metro will be able to go to Esenboğa Airport by transferring at Kuyubaşı Station. Having made a new decision regarding Havaray, the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications did not limit the 20-kilometer metro line to Esenboğa Airport and extended it to the Yıldırım Beyazıt University Campus built in Çubuk. Thus, the length of Havaray Metro reached up to 27 kilometers.
TENDER TO DO THIS YEAR
While the Ministry plans to complete all project works related to the metro work until the middle of 2016, the subway aims to launch the tender for the construction in the second half of this year. Havaray Metro is planned to be completed within 5 years.
