With the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Bingöl Municipality organized a "Let's live and let our culture live" ski event.
The citizens, who attended the event held in Hesarek Ski Center, which was opened by Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu on February 28, enjoyed skiing with the basin and sled.
Citizens transported to ski facilities with the vehicles allocated by the municipality, free basin and sled were distributed. Some of the citizens benefit from ski facilities free of charge and preferred to slip with nylon.
Mayor Yücel Barakazi said in a statement that the event organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism will be made traditional.
Barakazi stated that they aim to contribute to the introduction of new ski facilities, said:
“Today, not only the people of Bingöl came here. Hundreds of our brothers and sisters studying at Bingöl University also came here to attend the event. Although it was the first, it was a very nice event. Since we have been busy with the infrastructure and superstructure works for 2 years in the city center, we could not spend much time on social activities. We aim to make this event traditional, contribute to the culture of Bingöl and promote the Hesarek Ski Center. The best answer to those who say 'there is no snow' in Bingöl this month is the abundance of snow here. We distributed around 800 basins for free. We put our citizens on the ski lifts free of charge and organized a rope pull race. ”
