A new era begins tomorrow in Izmit Tramway Project. Infrastructure works have been completed in Hanlı Street, located in İzmit Yahya Kaptan region.
1200 TON RAIL
On the street, where infrastructure works have been completed, tram lines are laid tomorrow. It has been announced that a total of 15 tons of rail will be laid on the 1200-kilometer route on the Sekapark-Otogar line. Rails produced in Poland were brought to the city.
It was stated that the infrastructure construction came out of Yahya Kaptan and proceeded towards the city center in the west. The first tram car will come to Izmit in October. Test drives will be held in November. In February, the tram will start scheduled trips.
