Train Departing from China Reaches Iran: The first direct container train between China and Iran reached Iran on February 14th. Departing from Yiwu in the east of China, the train reached Tehran, the capital of Iran, after a 14-day journey.
A total of 40 container cargo cargoes were loaded and the train that arrived on the road reached Tehran via Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan via the Alashankou / Dostyk border. The total distance traveled by the train was 10300 km.
The 14 daily voyage of the train may fall down to 10 days in the coming years. The journey, organized by InterRail Group, will continue in the near future.
