It was learned that the works of two projects prepared by the Metropolitan Municipality are continuing to solve the traffic problem. Highways officials have not approved the project of the Metropolitan Municipality in 2010 and 2011 for the connection of Fuar İzmir to the Ring Road by intersection, as it is close to Gaziemir Intersection and this will cause danger. However, at the final stage of the project, an intersection connection was made for the entrance at the last moment. On the other hand, the exit was given to Gaziemir road via the road opened between the slums. It was announced that an agreement was reached with the Highways in March 2015 and the ring road connection project was completed last July, it was revised in line with the opinions of the 2nd Regional Directorate of Highways and it was re-delivered from October and awaiting approval.
It was stated that the second project, which is planned to end the transportation problem in Fair Izmir, was Monorail. According to the project, the tender process of which is ongoing, double-track, 2 stations, 3 wagons, 3 train sets and a workshop building will be constructed between IZBAN's ESBAS Station and Fuar Izmir. The 2.2-kilometer monorail system, which will be integrated into İZBAN and will only provide access to the new fair complex, will run round-trip double lines. Monorail trains to be operated from the operation control center to be installed in vehicle storage and maintenance and repair facilities will be driverless, but can also be driven manually if necessary. The monorail system that will work on the beams to be placed on the elevated columns will start from the ESBAŞ station of İZBAN, and will continue through Akçay Street and continue from the ring road - Gaziemir Junction - parallel to the ring road and reach Fair Izmir.
