Test Trays on Newly Constructed Trams in Slovakia

Test Rides on Newly Built Tram Line in Slovakia Started: Test drives of the tram line, which will expand the city rail system in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, started on February 16. The 2,4 km long line has 3 stations and most parts of the line have double rails. The line opened starts from Safarikovo Namesti in the south of Bratislava and passes through the 460-meter-long Old Bridge bridge in the line.
The construction of the line started in December of 2013. The total cost of 76,8 million euros, the total cost of 63 million euros was met by the European Union fund. The line is scheduled to be put into service in the following March or April after the test runs are finished.
