Izmir's two world heritage sites will be connected with İZBAN

İzmir's two world heritage sites will be connected with İZBAN: Minister Yıldırım said that UNESCO's world heritage list will connect Bergama and Selçuk with İZBAN.
Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications and AK Party İzmir Deputy Binali Yıldırım said that İZBAN will connect İzmir's two major districts, Bergama and Selçuk, which are considered as historical heritage by UNESCO.
'Our eyes are on İzmir'
Evaluating the agenda and projects related to İzmir in a television program he attended, Yıldırım said, “Our eyes are on İzmir. Projects in Izmir will continue without interruption. Both road projects and railways… İzmir-Ankara high-speed train continues, Istanbul-İzmir Highway continues, we extended the Ring Road to Menemen, we will extend it from Menemen to Çandarlı ”.
Expressing that they extended İZBAN to Torbalı, Yıldırım said, “We were going to open on Saturday, but we are going to Kazakhstan with our Prime Minister. İZBAN is an exemplary project of the municipality and the government. It is one of the rare projects jointly carried out by an opposition municipality and the government. As long as we did this project to make the people of Izmir comfortable, it is not going badly. We are extending the line, we extended it to Torbalı, from there we will extend it to Selçuk and from this side to Bergama. When it is finished, we will connect the two big districts, Bergama and Selçuk, which are considered as historical heritage in UNESCO. "The longest suburban line in the world with 2 kilometers."
Highway construction is under way
Referring to the Izmir-Istanbul Highway project, which is still under construction, Yıldırım said, “The gulf bridge from Izmir to Istanbul, the world's 4th largest bridge, will be ready at the end of April. It will open up to Bursa, Gemlik, and reach Bursa at the end of the year. Manisa-Bursa will be opened in 2018, and Manisa-Izmir will be opened at the end of this year ”.
