Swiss Railways Receive Fire and Rescue Trains: Swiss Railways signed a new agreement with the consortium established with the partnership of Windhoff Bahn-Anlagentechnik-Drager Safety. According to the signed agreement, 3 fire and rescue trains to be produced by these companies will be purchased. According to the agreement worth 38 million Swiss Francs (34,2 million Euros), the trains will be delivered towards the end of 2018.
The LRZ18 trains to be produced are designed to have 60 crews, rescue vehicles and a tank with a capacity of 50000 liters. The maximum speed of the skins will be 100 km / h and can carry 1600 tons of cargo.
