Infrastructure Work Continues for Sekapark-Otogar Tram Line: Infrastructure work continues on Yahya Kaptan Sarı Mimoza Street on the tram line.
Displacement works continue on the Tram Line between Sekapark-Otogar, which was implemented by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality. The 1-meter route covering the 1800st stage of the tram line was divided into 3 parts and the work started. The teams that started displacement production on Yahya Kaptan Hanlı Street and Salkım Söğüt Street continue their displacement works on Sarı Mimoza Street. The teams, which will move to Necip Fazıl Street as of Monday, February 1, continue their work.
TRAFFIC SIGNS
In the first phase of the 7-kilometer-long Akçaray tram line to be built between Izmit Sekapark and Otogar, the places of the infrastructure such as electricity, natural gas, water and sewerage in the places where the line passes are changed. There will be no infrastructure under the route line where the tram will pass. Due to the displacement works in Salkım Söğüt Caddesi and Hanlı Street, the teams closed the road to traffic until 1 March 2016 with the decision of UKOME. On Yellow Mimoza Street, traffic is controlled. There are traffic signs and signs in the area where the work is done for the drivers.
INFRASTRUCTURE WORKS
After the completion of substructure depletion works, superstructure works are expected to start in February. Completion of excavation at the end of March between Hanlı Street and Necip Fazıl Street and Yahya Kaptan Bridge Interchange; At the end of April, the construction of tram superstructure is planned to be completed in the same region. In the works carried out by the Department of Transportation, Directorate of Rail Systems, work plans are prepared in order to prevent traffic disruption, environment and traffic to the lowest level.
