The Ministry of National Education's second "I'm Learning About the EU" themed information competitions for high school students in 21 provinces and the "Tell Me About the EU" themed painting, slogan and short story competitions for middle and high school students in 81 provinces are starting this year.
The knowledge competitions to be held within the scope of the Students Learning About the EU Project, which is carried out under the coordination of the Ministry of National Education, Directorate General of European Union and Foreign Relations, will only cover 21th grade students in the 10 provinces where EU Information Centers are located (Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Bursa, Denizli, Diyarbakır, Edirne, Erzurum, Eskişehir, Gaziantep, İstanbul, İzmir, Kayseri, Kocaeli, Konya, Mersin, Samsun, Sivas, Şanlıurfa, Trabzon, Van). While the painting competition to be held in 81 provinces across Turkey will be for 7th grade students, the slogan competition for 8th grade students, and the short story competition for
9th grade students can participate.
The grand prize is a trip to an EU country. MEB awards all provincial winners with a laptop, all provincial runners-up with a bicycle, and all provincial third-place winners with chess. In addition, national first, second, and third-place winners will be eligible to participate in a 5-day trip to a European Union country.
