Will Gulf Crossing Bridge Benefit Gebze?

Will Gulf Crossing Bridge Benefit Gebze: MHP Kocaeli Deputy Lütfü Türkkan, Izmit Bay Suspension Bridge, which constitutes the most important leg of the 9-kilometer Gebze-Orhangazi-İzmir Highway Project, which will reduce the transportation between Istanbul and Izmir from 3,5 hours to 433 hours. 'Will it benefit Gebze district?' she asked.
MHP's Türkkan, who came together with Adnan Çebi, the owner of Mak Yol İnşaat, the great partner of the consortium that built the Gulf Crossing Bridge, answered the question of whether this project that brings Bursa and İzmir closer to Istanbul 'will benefit Gebze' he said he called but could not find any answer.
Türkkan met with Adnan Çebi, owner of Mak Yol İnşaat, the major partner of the consortium that built the Gulf Crossing Bridge, whose foundation was laid on October 29, 2010. Türkkan asked Çebi about their curiosity about the Gulf Crossing Bridge, whose tolls are also a topic of constant debate. Çebi answered many questions about the Gulf Passage Bridge and said that the bridge, whose construction continues rapidly, will be put into service in July.
Türkkan stated that he could not get a positive answer to his questions and said that the bridge would harm the trade volume in some regions.
Continuing his statement, Lütfü Türkkan said, “If we say that the decrease in transit vehicle crossings starting from Başiskele and continuing to Gölcük and Karamürsel will harm the trade volume of the region, we would not be wrong. Gebze and its surrounding districts must be a center of attraction for these passengers in order for the vehicles coming from Istanbul to Bursa and from there to Izmir or to Istanbul by following the opposite direction to contribute to our region. " He spoke in the form.
Türkkan said, “I guess the answer to the question of whether Gebze can be such a center is the same. Unfortunately, there is no study that we can give the answer to this question positively by those who run our city. It cannot be said that they have such a vision. It would be appropriate for those who manage Gebze to share a work on this issue, if any, with the public. Otherwise, the Bay Bridge will benefit everyone, not us Gebzels. " gave his statements.
