Bombardier Produces Trains for Mexico: The government of the Mexican state of Jalisca announced Bombardier as the winner of the tender for the trains to be used on the first line. Bombardier will produce 12 two-wagon trains to be used on the Guadalajara light rail line, managed by SITEUR. In the statement made by the state government, it was announced that Bombardier, one of the 13 companies that applied for the tender, won the tender.
The trains to be produced by Bombardier will be delivered in 2017. With the arrival of new trains, the peak capacity of the line is expected to increase by 50. The trains to be produced are Bombardier's TEG-15 trains and will be about 30 meters long. In total, trains will be able to reach 900 km per hour. The trains will be produced at Bombardier's Ciudad Sahagun factory.
