Gökmen Mengüç, Deputy Secretary General of the Metropolitan Municipality made a statement to our newspaper about the issue. Mengüç stated that the demolition of the gas station in question had nothing to do with the tram project and gave the following information:
I This place was rented under a contract with Petrol Ofisi. Petrol Ofisi has signed a lease agreement with the Metropolitan. They didn't extend again. It was therefore destroyed.
