Avalanche Exercise from Van Umke: Van National Medical Rescue Teams (UMKE) conducted a drill at Abalı Ski Center in Gevaş district in order to ensure harmonious work and to keep the personnel ready against possible avalanches.

Van National Medical Rescue Teams (UMKE) conducted exercises in Abalı Ski Center in Gevaş district in order to ensure harmonious work and to keep the personnel ready against possible avalanches. Tuğba Kurşun, the head of the National Medical Rescue team, said that 2 people who were under avalanche were successfully rescued according to the scenario.

Due to heavy snowfall and steep slopes, the teams of UMKE held an avalanche drill in Abalı Ski Center in Gevaş District, in order to ensure that the teams are prepared for this situation. UMKE team immediately took action after it was reported that 6 of the 2 people who went to slide in accordance with the scenario were trapped under an avalanche. The teams set off upon the notice received and reached the incident area in a short time. After determining the area and taking security measures, UMKE teams went to the avalanche area and rescued 2 people who were trapped and successfully completed the exercise with the love made to the ambulance.
