French SNCF to work jointly with Indian Railways

French SNCF and Indian Railways to Collaborate: Mutual signatures were signed between the French SNCF and Indian Railways for the 1-year project. Within the scope of the project, feasibility studies will be carried out on the 245 km line between New Delhi and Chandigarh, and efforts will be made to enable the line to serve semi-high speed trains. In other words, the line will be made suitable for trains that will travel at a speed of 200 km / h.
A team of Indian and French experts will work on the project. The project is supported by three different banks. In addition, companies such as Alstom and Thales are also supported by 30 companies.
In another agreement, there is a long-term modernization of 400 stations in Indian Railways. For this, primarily Ambala and Ludhiana stations will be modernized as pilot stations.
