Working team came from Japan to prepare the Tavantolgoy railway feasibility study

The study team came from Japan to prepare the Tavantolgoy railway feasibility: Last month, during the visit of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to Mongolia, a Memorandum of Understanding of Cooperation was signed with the Japanese side on the railway project in the east direction of Tavantolgoy.

Within the framework of this memorandum, it was envisaged that the railway project in the east of Tavantolgoy would be completed this year.

In addition, in line with the target of launching the railway works in 2016, the working group 23-27 November 2015, headed by Foreign Trade and Cooperation Assistant Director Haruhiko Ando of Japan, worked in Mongolia.

The delegation visited the mine deposits and new railway construction works on the site such as Shivee-Ovoo, Tsagaan suvarga, Oyutolgoy, Tavantolgoy, Mushgai well in the provinces of Gobisumber, Dornogobi and Umnugobi.
