There are gratifying developments in the İZBAN line, which the residents of Torbalı have been waiting for years. Most of the work was completed on the line, which was aimed to be completed last year, but could not be commissioned due to thefts and disruptions in the electrification system. A trial run was made yesterday, starting from Cumaovasi and continuing to Torbalı. An İZBAN train was tried for the first time after the trials made with TCDD train twice before. It was stated that there was no hitch in the stop-and-go ride. With this trial, an electric train was used for the first time on the Torbalı railway line. It was stated that the trains used by TCDD on this line were diesel.
TWO TRAIN TRAFFICKING DRIVES ON TWO LINES
The test run was done on two lines with two trains. Eight machinists took part in the trial, in which TCDD and İZBAN senior officials were also present. According to the information provided by İZBAN officials, the test drives will continue for 15 days. Providing information about the driving with closed signals, the officials said, “There was no major malfunction in the first test drive of İZBAN. İZBAN has finished its studies. Small signal works of TCDD remained. There is no shortage of voyages to start in January. We will wait for a date from TCDD. " said.
