The place was also ready, unused parts of the Yenişehir military airport. The airport was built with the wind of the airport building lobby. As soon as it was made, all magic was broken. The airport, which was opened with great hopes, did not work whatever was done. Turkish Airlines lifted flights from corruption. A few "charter" flights did not save our airport with great hopes. The airport building lobby also disappeared after getting what it wanted. We now have an idle airport of $ 500-600 million. Projects proposed to revive and the studies did not result.

In my opinion, there is a huge economic opportunity for a sleeping giant. My proposal is to make Yenisehir Airport the cargo center of our country. The only thing to do is to connect the airport to the railway system with a line starting from Mekecek train station in Bilecik. To reach the other end of this line from Gemlik to Gemlik free zone via Iznik. 5 in terms of population of our country. Bursa, which has a big city, comes after Istanbul and Kocaeli provinces in terms of industrial production. Our province has ten Organized Industrial Zone including İnegöl. It is a logically unacceptable phenomenon that these regions remain outside the rail network. Consider what will happen when this line, which can be considered as the beginning of the Mekecek-Bursa-Bandırma line, will create an economic revival.

With this project, the railway suitable for YHT to be planned in the direction of Karacabey - Airport -Mustafakemalpaşa-Bursa and airport -Balıkesir from Bandırma will make this the busiest airport of the country after Istanbul. However, the problem here is that there are not enough and correct connections from the airport to Afyon and Uşak provinces and thermal hotel operators do not protect the airport adequately.
