Cable Theft Affects Train Travel in Barcelona: Theft of train cables in Barcelona, Spain, affected passengers negatively today.
A fire broke out in 60 installations of the Spanish Railways Infrastructure Enterprise ADIF, due to theft of 3-meter high-voltage cables. It was reported that the theft in the morning affected 200 trains and 60 thousand passengers. R-2, R-2 north, R-8 and R-11 lines experienced an average of half an hour delays.
The Spanish Railways Renfe stated that they cannot give precise information about when services will return to normal.
