Akçaray Rails Came From Poland: Work continues on the tram line to be built as part of the Akçaray Tramway Project.

In a written statement made by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, it was stated that the rails were lowered to the warehouse area in the Akçaray Tramway Project, which was initiated as the first step of the rail systems era in the city.

In the statement, it was reported that the first batch of 200 tons of rails from Poland was loaded on trucks from Derince Port and brought to the tram storage area next to the bus station, and the following statements were made:

“The pre-assembly processes of the rails to be kept in the warehouse area will also be done here. With the arrival on the tracks, work on the infrastructure is also started. It is planned to start the assembly of the first rail as of February 2016. The infrastructure work, which will start from Hanlı Street at the entrance of the bus station, will continue through Yahya Kaptan to Kandıra Junction. During the works, traffic flow will be directed to alternative routes in order to prevent traffic disruption. Working plans are being prepared to affect the environment and traffic at the lowest level. "
