Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Hayri Baraçlı said that it is very important to hold TRANSIST 2015 in Istanbul, which is attended by the leading transportation companies of the world.
In 2024 there will be more than 900 metro network
Stating that IETT, which has been serving in the transportation of Istanbul for 144 years, has become a brand, Baraçlı said that they aim to increase to 2019 km by 430 and to 2024 km by 900 thanks to the transportation investments made in Istanbul.
Stating that they want to implement the “TAKSİ 134” project as Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Baraçlı emphasized that all taxis will be managed from a single center with the project.
Stating that it is estimated that the daily population movement in Istanbul will reach 45 million in the future, Baraçlı said that they have developed environmentally friendly transportation systems for this purpose.
Famous names using public transportation will be rewarded
Mümin Kahveci, the General Manager of İETT, said that nearly 8 companies came together thanks to the fair they organized for the 100th time this year, and said that the theme of the fair this year is planning, efficiency, parking and alternative modes of transportation.
The academic leg of the study together with Yıldız Technical University, Kahveci said that they would reward the famous names who used the public transportation from art to sports.
