According to the Government Program, the design of the "Istanbul Tunnel", which will be the first in the world, has been completed. The 3-storey tunnel that will pass under the Bosphorus will include highway and metro passages. New rail system lines will also be established in Istanbul.

The double road length will increase to 30 thousand kilometers, and the high-speed train network will increase to 3 thousand 623 kilometers. New rail system lines will be completed in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Gaziantep and Antalya. A large 3-storey tunnel will be built in the Bosphorus.

The government program also included major projects of the new era. The most striking headings of the program were mega transportation projects. According to the program, the design of the 3-storey “Great Istanbul Tunnel” has been completed. The Great Istanbul Tunnel, which will pass under the Bosphorus, will be the first in the world.

The project will cover highway and metro crossings in a single tunnel. The tunnel will connect 6 different rail systems that will be used by 9 and a half million people a day. The project, which will connect the bridges between the Bosphorus and Fatih Sultan Mehmet, will be built with Build-Operate-Transfer model.

Levent-Hisarüstü, Üsküdar-Ümraniye-Dudullu, Kartal-Kaynarca in Istanbul, Kabataş-Mecidiyeköy-Mahmutbey, Nakırköy-Kirazlı and Kaynarca-Sabiha Gökçen Rail System projects will be completed.

Tandoğan-Keçiören and AKM-Gar-Kızılay in Ankara and Cumaovası-Tepeköy rail system lines in İzmir will be commissioned. Antalya Airport-EXPO and Gaziray projects in Gaziantep will also be implemented.

The high-speed train project between Istanbul and Ankara will be completed. Ankara-Izmir High Speed ​​Train Project will be completed and half of the population will be provided with high-speed train services.

The new legal arrangements will be made for Kanal Istanbul project and the project will be completed with the private sector.
