EU fund allocated for Spain's railway connection with Atlantic countries

For the rail connection of Spain with the Atlantic countries, EU funding has been allocated: Spain Infrastructure, Transport and Public Works State Secretary Jolio Gomez Pomar signed a series of agreements to establish the ATlantic Railway Corridor. With these agreements, 950 million Euros of financing was provided from the European Commission's CEF Program (Connecting Europe Faclity). 500 million Euros of this resource will be spent for the "Basque Railway-Y" project, which will establish a railway connection between the cities of Bergera, San Sebastian and Bayonne. With the completion of this project, a direct connection with other Atlantic countries will be provided through the Basque Country.
