Work begins on 2 new metro lines in Istanbul

Work begins on 2 new metro lines in Istanbul: Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality is starting to work on the Istinye-ITU-Kağıthane metro line and the Sabiha Gökçen Airport - Viaport metro line.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality started to work for 2 new metro lines. One of the metro lines that have started to operate is the Istinye-ITU-Kağıthane metro line and the other is the Sabiha Gökçen Airport - Viaport metro line.

'12 KILOMETER METRO LINE '

Istinye-ITU-Kagithane metro line was determined as 12 kilometer. The tender will be held on 26 November 2015.

The line, starting from Kağıthane and ending in İstinye, is planned to be completed in 270 days.

'NEW METRO LINE TO SABİHA GÖKÇEN AIRPORT'

Sabiha Gökçen Airport - Viaport Rail System Line is also planned to be completed within 240 days. It is estimated that the Sabiha Gökçen Airport - Viaport Rail System Line will be 7 kilometers long.

The metro line, which will start from Sabiha Gökçen Airport, will reach Viaport Marina, which was opened in 2015 and was realized with an investment of 1 million TL.
