114 million investment for Kocaeli tram: The foundations of the tram line between Otogar and SEKA Park, which are 473 days to complete, were laid. Minister Işık instructed the tram line to start from Alikahya at the groundbreaking ceremony

The groundbreaking ceremony of the tram line, which was tendered by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality and ended at the construction site, was held with the participation of Minister of Science, Industry and Technology Fikri Işık. With the Minister Işık, Governor Hasan Basri Gözüloğlu, AK Party Deputies Radiye Sezer Katırcıoğlu, Zeki Aygün, İlyas Şeker and Metropolitan Mayor İbrahim Karaosmanoğlu and citizens attended the ceremony held in the area next to Izmit Bus Terminal.

'OUR PRIORITY WILL BE TRANSPORTATION'
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Işık said: “There has been no work on the transportation infrastructure of this city for years. After the AK Party won Izmit Metropolitan after 2004, it made Kocaeli with all its borders. Turkey has now become one of the most planned city of Kocaeli. There are shortcomings, but a certain point has been reached. Transportation will be our priority in Kocaeli between 2015 and 2023 ”. Işık said, “Izmit is late in the rail system. But when it ends quickly, it will have a rail system. Then the rail system will be extended to the 1180-bed City hospital in 3 years. Let us extend our system here to Alikahya. If this is the first stage, it will provide a serious transportation comfort to Alikahya. These investments are only stable. ” Tahir Büyükakın, the Secretary General of the Metropolitan Municipality, gave information about the city transportation. Saying that the public transportation fleet was expanded with 200 vehicles purchased, Büyükakın said, “We established the Transport Park company and will start working with the new year. We conducted feasibility studies for the 11-kilometer-long Gebze-Darica metro and presented it to the Ministry of Transport. We made our tender for the tram, which was our first eye pain, and signed a contract for the purchase of 12 tram cars. In the coming period, the tram line will be extended to SEKA State and City hospital. ”

473 DAY WILL BE STILL
It was learned that the tram line, which started on July 21, had 473 days left. After the 2-year planning work for the tram, it was started on July 21. The line of departure and arrival, with a total length of 14 kilometers and consisting of 11 stations, will cost 113 million 990 thousand liras. On the route, which is planned to carry 16 thousand passengers per day, 8 buildings will be expropriated. With the line called Akçaray, Kocaeli will have the first rail transportation system. A total of 28 thousand 800 meters long and 1977 tons of corrugated rails will be produced along the tram line. 16 signalization arrangements will be made at the intersections of the Highway and Tram lines.

1977 TON RAY WILL BE DONE
A contract was also signed with the company that was awarded the tender for 12 tram wagons that will work on the tram line. 28 meters long 800 tons of corrugated rails will be manufactured along the tram line. It will assemble 1977 thousand rail fasteners. In order to manufacture 46 pieces of scissors with different features, horizontal and vertical traffic markings will be installed, a total of 24 6 kWA CER transformers will be built in 12 transformer centers in order to feed the catheter system of the tram line. In order to meet the energy needs required for station structures, warehouse area, road lighting and traffic signalization, a total of 1500 internal power transformers will be installed.

THE FIRST STEP OF TRAMVAY METRON
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of the tram line, Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor İbrahim Karaosmanoğlu said, “We continue our services in our 12th year. We need to do our work for transportation, which is our biggest problem. Our tram work is the preliminary preparations for the subway work. ” Karaosmanoğlu said, “In the future, we will connect all our districts by metro. In this study, however, it is with all of Turkey's stability. We make tunnels under the sea, we build bridges in the Gulf of Izmit. We will experience better developments together. ”
