Passed tests in South Korea
The 5-module vehicle body produced for the Izmir tram project was subjected to load resistance tests at Hyundai Rotem's firm in South Korea. The domestic-made vehicle body, which has successfully completed all the stages, started production with the Izmir tram for the first time. In addition to the body, equipment and materials such as outer covers, armchairs and upholstery, and air conditioning are also available domestically.
Each of the trams produced with the 285 passenger capacity will have a length of 32 meters. There are driver cabins on both ends of the tram and four 8 doors on each side.
