High-speed train good news to Antalya: Feridun Bilgin, Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, said that high-speed train lines are being prepared to connect Antalya to the inner regions.
Bilgin noted that the more transportation alternatives develop in a city, the more the city will be open to its surroundings and to the world, therefore, Antalya, Konya, Aksaray, Nevşehir, Kayseri, again Antalya, Isparta, Burdur, Afyonkarahisar, Kütahya, Eskişehir He stated that they are planning to complete the study projects related to the high-speed train lines that will connect to Turkey next year.
Bilgin said, “We are projecting the 642-kilometer-long Antalya-Kayseri high-speed train line in sections. We made the project tenders of Eskişehir department this year. Evaluation studies continue. Project preparations for the Afyonkarahisar section are ongoing. I hope we will start high-speed train services to Antalya in 2020 ”.
Minister Bilgin, with the completion of the rail system laid today, the Antalya Airport and the bus station between the 37 minutes, the city center and the airport between the 17 minutes will go down.
Reminding that there are two airports in Antalya, Bilgin stated that they are planning another airport, which is of great importance for the tourism centers located in the west of the city, and that the location and feasibility studies are continuing between Kaş and Demre.
