The BALO project is targeted at many foreign companies

The BALO project is the target of many foreign companies: The interest in the Büyük Anadolu Logistics Project (BALO) is growing. It was stated that many foreign companies are closely interested, and some companies have brought concrete partnership offers.

Turkey, one of the largest logistics projects in the Greater Anatolia Project Logistics (BALO) began to arrive partnership bids from foreign companies. It was learned that many foreign companies are closely interested with BALO, which transports the loads of Anatolia to Europe in a short time like 4 days. It is stated that some companies have brought concrete partnership offers. BALO officials, stating that there is no finished agreement on this issue, did not give "secret" about who is interested. However, businessmen from the route provinces of the project confirmed the interest of foreign logistics companies and investors. According to the announcement on BALO's website, the company plans a joint venture with Austrian Rail Cargo Austria (RCA). Concrete steps have been taken in this regard. Recently, the parties held a meeting where they discussed the issue at the management level. Germans are also looking for cooperation. It is stated that there are other investors interested.

operates mainly through railways intermodal transportation services to the logistics sector and Anatolia load of 4 days as soon as the delivering to Europe BALL, in 2011 Turkey Chambers and Stock Exchanges Union (TOBB), under the leadership of Turkey's room from many regions, exchanges and organized industrial zones was established with its subsidiary. It started with 94 partners, and reached 2014 partners since 118 with the capital increase. The institutional structuring preparations of BALO, which is also a partner of the International Transport and Logistics Service Providers Association (UTIKAD), were carried out in 2012 and in 2013, it started to offer freight transportation by block trains to the transporters and forwarders in the logistics industry. The main purpose of BALO is to increase the competitiveness of the industrialist by providing logistics advantages. Until today, Anatolian industrialists could not deliver their products to Europe by rail due to transportation problems and lack of systems. Transportation costs, in particular, are breaking the competitiveness of the industrialists in Anatolia, although this agreement can be used only in the provinces of the western region, although there is a Customs Union Agreement with the European Union. With BALO, an important freight advantage was provided to the industrialists in Anatolia.

Germans are interested for the Chinese line
Currently, there are 'joint venture' plans on BALO's agenda. It is working on a joint venture plan with Rail Cargo Austria (RCA), one of the largest railway suppliers in Europe of Austrian origin. The “Observation Committee Meeting” for this initiative, on which both parties were represented at the Board of Directors, took place on 3 August. June 2014 North Rhine - Westphalia official development agency of NRW Invest also visited the Duisburg Development Agency officials WORLD newspaper coming to Turkey in cooperation Yuxino block train line between China and Germany had made clear that they want to merge with the BALO. The Turkish side is evaluating the offer. At BALO, there are 3 reciprocal block trains per week between Anatolia and Europe. For Eastern Europe, the Sopron terminal in Hungary is reached, the Duisburg terminal for Northern Germany and Benelux countries and the Ludwigshafen terminal for Central Germany and the Giengen terminal in Southern Germany. Duisburg - Tekirdag works for 6 days in transit and 5 days in import.

'Foreign partnership will bring BALO closer to its goals'
Hakan Çınar, CEO of UNSPED, who is also an academician and logistics expert, evaluated his increasing foreign interest in BALO: “BALO, which was founded under the leadership and participation of TOBB in 2011, and continued its journey as a partner of UTİKAD. is an extremely important formation for our country, which was established to improve transportation. In order for BALO to reach the desired level and volume, it needs a little more time and cooperation and partnerships in this regard. From this point of view, I believe that a possible partnership model will also benefit. However, I believe that such a model should be a value-added partnership that will be developed not only for fundraising purposes but also for mutual cooperation. Otherwise, BALO needs to create volume with one-way and broken wing, which prevents its development. An absolute coexistence with partnership or close partnership; however I think the decision-maker should stay in the hands of BALO. ”
