15 August 1885 Fire broke out in Mersin-Adana railway construction.
August 15, 1888 Deutsche Bank General Manager Siemens applied to the German Foreign Office and asked for his attitude on the Anatolian Railway concession. In his reply on September 2, 1888, the German Foreign Office stated that it did not see any objection to the concession request, but that all risks belonged to Deutsche Bank.
