1 August 1886 Tarsus-Adana part of Mersin-Tarsus-Adana line was opened with an official ceremony. Flights 4 started in August. The total length of the Mersin-Tarsus-Adana line is 66,8 km.
1 August 1919 During World War I, the construction of Ankara-Sivas line, which was completed by 80 km with the help of Military Railways and Ports General Directorate construction battalions, was continued and part of (Izzettin station) was opened to operation.
1 August 2003 The 2003 Action Plan prepared with the support of the European Commission for the harmonization of the TCDD with the European Union acquis has been approved by the Ministry of Transport.
