New Trams Arrive in Poland

New Trams Coming to Poland: The first of the trams to be used on the Slaskie city tram line of Poland started test drives. Following the completion of the test drive, the first tram is expected to be put into service at the end of this month.

An agreement was signed in 2014 for trams produced by Modertrans. 12 million zloty (58,3 million TL) cost of the agreement covering the purchase of 42,3 units. The European Union fund received high financial support for the purchase of trams.

Trams to be purchased are designed as two-way and consist of 3 sections. Low ground trams with 198 passenger capacity are manufactured with a height of 35 cm from the ground.

Slaskie city tram, the statement to be taken, the first of the 12 tram is ready and test drive began, the remaining 11 tram is completed in the rate of% 80 said. Delivery of the entire ordered 12 tram is expected to be completed by next October.
