Metropolitan Mayor Çelik, who went to Ankara to discuss Kayseri's projects carried out by the Ministry of Transport and held a long meeting with the Minister of Transport and the general directors of the Ministry, detailed the projects by meeting with the officials of the Highways and then the State Railways bureaucrats. . Discussing 17 different projects with highways, Mayor Çelik discussed what needs to be done with the officials of the railways to quickly complete projects such as high-speed train, moving the railway line in the city, logistics village and suburban line.

At the meeting held in the Metropolitan Municipality, all projects were individually discussed on the table. Opinions were exchanged on the issues such as the latest status of the projects, project and tender process, appropriation status, things to be done in Kayseri. The process related to the high-speed train line, which is one of the biggest projects of Kayseri, was also discussed. Listening to TCDD officials, President Çelik said that Kayseri will be the crossroads on high speed train.

Providing information about the meeting, Mayor of Metropolitan Municipality Mustafa Çelik stated that they held a meeting with the powers of the General Directorate of State Railways as a continuation of the meeting attended by the Minister of Transport and the General Managers at the Ministry of Transport. . Mayor Celik said: “At the beginning of the issues we discussed was the move of the existing railway line to the new line, which we call the northern crossing. There are three issues that are seen as obstacles in front of us. The first one is the construction of the new gar building. A beautiful project has emerged. In the coming days, they will be making a tender. The logistics village must be completed as soon as possible for the transportation of logistics related works on the same line. Things are walking in the normal course. They will soon be awarded the tender for the production. These two jobs seemed to be an obstacle in front of us; but according to the information we received, things are walking in normal course. I hope the construction of these places will be started next year. The new route was also agreed on the transport of NATO fuel and discharge stations, which seem to be an obstacle to the transport of railways. We are able to carry an additional railway line on the new route. It seems that in a maximum of three years, we will be able to carry the railway in the city to the new line. In addition, we have a suburban line project which will be integrated with urban transportation. We talked to our friends about the last point we came up with. We will carry out the project work on the integration of our existing public transport line and suburban line. Another issue was the high-speed train that all the people of Kayseri were waiting for. At this point we have seen a good level. What we would like to do is the project of high-speed train in Kayseri-Istanbul line standards. As we wanted, the Istanbul line is also planned as an 250 km per hour. The route was determined and the project work started. In our work with our friends, we have taken another gospel together. Project tender of the high-speed train, which will be connected to Antalya via Kayseri-Ankara line via Kayseri-Nevşehir-Konya, has started. Again, through this line, the project work for the high-speed train that will go from Adana to Mersin from Ulukışla has started. In addition, project work has started on the line that will go to Samsun via Kırıkkale. In the meantime, the work continues in the Izmir line. Kayseri will be the main junction point of the high-speed train. We're at the intersection of both the north-south line and the east-west line. This will further increase Kayseri's commercial and industrial importance in the coming years. We would like to thank both the Ministry of Transport and the Railways officials for their efforts. In the meantime, it is important to design this line to carry both passengers and cargo while the high speed train line is being constructed. This means that our industrialists' freight rates and transportation costs are reduced. This is a pleasing issue for us. Another issue we discussed was the assessment of real estate properties on the existing railway line.

After the detailed meeting with TCDD officials in the Metropolitan Municipality, the bureaucrats of both institutions went to the field and made investigations in the areas where the projects were located.
